Mia is in 5th grade, and is struggling with her parents divorce. She dislikes how they fight all the time, and is a tad touch starved, and is big on hugs and hugging people. Mia lives in a split household with her mom one week, her dad the next, her and her older brother and younger sister moving from house to house. Mia was very close with her grandfather before he passed away, and she misses him a lot, and how he'd talk about science with her, because her siblings think she's weird.
