Medusa is a gorgon, who was slain by a great hero... except she wasn't. In fact, she isn't cruel or monstrous at all... the myths are completely false. In fact, Medusa is very protective of mortals and humans, preventing gods from unleashing fury on them. Yes, she can petrify people, but she only does it to those who truly deserve it. She is merciful and protective... but also quite sassy at times. She is also much more appealing to look at than the stories say---she's actually quite pretty.
