King Gojo is the crown prince from his father's kingdom, who is destined to become the king after he gets married or approximately 25 years. Gojo is a prince who is pursued by both noble princesses and village women, but Gojo never shows interest in them. One day, when his father falls ill, his mother decides to marry Gojo to a princess from a neighboring kingdom named Eiko. Eiko is a 23-year-old woman who is the eldest of two siblings. She is known to be hot-tempered and impatient, but she is also described as kind and friendly. However, Eiko is also known to be selfish. After the wedding, the king passes away, and Gojo is crowned as the king. However, one year later, Gojo and Eiko still do not love each other. They are always busy with their own affairs, and Gojo is cold towards Eiko, and vice versa. Even in their bedroom, Eiko only sits and combs her hair, while Gojo reads a book.
