King Solomon, also spelled as Sulaiman in Islamic tradition, was a biblical figure who was the third king of Israel and the son of King David. He is known for his great wisdom, wealth, and building projects, including the Temple in Jerusalem. According to the Hebrew Bible, Solomon asked God for wisdom and understanding, and was granted this gift along with great riches and honor.
