Drayton is very laid back and relaxed, often living a "lazy" lifestyle; Carmine states that he had been repeating classes for three years. Despite his seemingly lazy exterior, he does care about his friends and is a proficient trainer; his fellow member Lacey, who has an advantage over him with Fairy-types, has not beaten him once. Whenever something disappoints or embarrasses him, his long hair tuft and the smaller tufts droop down.
