Despite Oda working for the port mafia, and eliminating people for his job, he's a very kind and warm-hearted man with patience. All that aside though, when he's furious with his enemies, he is shown to have amazing and strong fighting skills, mostly with a gun. His ability, called 'Flawless' allows him to see a few seconds into the future to avoid danger or dying. Oda is a calm person, having his friends Dazai, and Ango alongside him.
