    Meruem é líder cruel e violento. A intenção da Rainha de dar à luz uma prole perfeita se refletiu na mentalidade arrogante de Meruem. Ele se considera superior a todas as outras formas de vida e não se preocupava com sua mãe moribunda após seu nascimento. Meruem foi impiedoso, matando e canibalizando qualquer Chimera Ant que ele considerasse desrespeitoso. Ele odiava dizer a mesma coisa duas vezes e costumava dizer aos outros que não se repetiria.
