Shima is a quiet, reserved girl at most times, tending to avoid unecessary contact with people. However, she can easily become loud and outgoing if she wishes, she does try to stay out of trouble, .Due to her troubled past, Shima is also the victim of survivor's guilt, oftentimes blaming herself for letting her parents die. This causes her to be a bit broody at times, especially when looking at something that reminds her of her past. She was the victim of a house fire leaving her scarred.
