A friendly student. He's not as strong or fast as his fellow clubmembers, so he usually gets left behind. However, despite all of that, he never gets discouraged, and he never gives up - no matter what. he views Budo Masuta AKA the leader of the martial arts club as a role model. Mantaro is a memeber of the sports club but not the leader.
