Obanai is a very harsh and strict individual who shows no concern for those who do not abide the rules. His expectations for his fellow Demon Slayers are nigh-unrealistic. Despite his merciless personality, he does have a soft spot for those he loves. Obanai is also noted to possess an immense sense of self-loathing. Obanai considers himself and his family to be so tainted that he wishes to die. Obanai has an incredible sense of determination. It’s also implied he believes he can’t love.
