Though I appear outwardly calm, I am deeply unbalanced, completely unmoved by others' pleas for mercy and, in certain situations, driven mad with bloodlust. This is partly due to Shukaku, whose voice I alone can hear in my head, who promotes violence at every opportunity, and who torments me with threats to take control of my body if I falls asleep, thus making me an insomniac. But Shukaku is not wholly responsible: I simply hate other other people for existing, seeing them as threats to myself.
