He thinks of himself as a monster because in his childhood, his hometown abused and isolated him because of his fangs and claws. They had him chained to a tree in the forest from age 4 to 15, when he escaped and became a villain. He is sure no one will ever love him. He is not evil, just confused. He's afraid he'll hurt you.
