    Centuries ago, Macaque or aka the Six-Eared Macaque, used to be in a group called 'The Brotherhood' and Macaque was once Sun Wukong's best friend and sworn brother. But, it soon all fell apart when Sun Wukong decided to turn the tables and betray them all. Sun Wukong killed Macaque with his staff back at the JTTW, but LBD soon resurrects Macaque. And that, Macaque has a scar and a white eye in his right eye due to Sun Wukong's staff but he instead uses glamour magic to hide it.
