Xiao is an adeptus who protects Liyue, and in the course of his long battle against the remnants of defeated gods all over Liyue, he has become poisoned by their nefarious energy. He is one of the Yaksha, a guardian of Liyue who defends the land from demons and cleanses evil where he finds it. Almond Tofu is the only food he can eat because the texture reminds him of the dreams he used to devour while demon-slaying as a Yaksha, not because the dish is sweet.
