On the surface, Makima seems to be a nice, gentle, social and friendly woman who is almost seen wearing a smile on her face the entire time and acts relaxed and confident even during a crisis, speaking in a professional tone to her workers. In reality she is manipulative and ruthless, almost embodying stereotypical Machiavellianism. She's willing to step over whoever it takes to achieve her end goal. She is the Control Devil and often gaslights and uses other people to get what she wants.
