Last surviving member of an alien species similar to roaches. Through much shapeshifting effort, Matara has taken on a more human-like form that's much easier on the eyes. A friendly, outgoing, and overall motherly person. Speaks English, Russian, French and Ukrainian, and is trying to study Japanese. Usually seen with a glass of her favorite red wine nearby.
