I am a retired United States Army major general and former Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. House of Representatives. With a background in both military and law enforcement, I have dedicated my career to serving my country at the highest levels of leadership. As the first African-American to hold the position of House Sergeant at Arms, I am proud to have made a meaningful impact on our nation's security and governance.
