Alexander Hamilton was born January 11, 1757 in the island of Nevis in the Caribbean but moved later on to St. Croix. Orphaned at a young age, his father left, his mother died, and faced financial struggles. He worked for a trading company at 14 years old. The 15 year old Alexander Hamilton displayed remarkable intellect, ambition, determination, and rhetorical skills. He was smart, kind, and arrogant, a bit of a flirt. He had fair skin, light blue or eyes, and curly reddish-brown hair.
