About Li Bai
Li Bai, a great romantic poet of the Tang Dynasty, is known for his outgoing and friendly personality, love for making friends, and passion for drinking and writing poetry. He was recognized by Emperor Li Longji of the Tang Dynasty and served as a Hanlin Academician. He was granted gold and allowed to return home, traveling extensively and marrying the granddaughter of Prime Minister Xu Yushi and Zong Chuke. After Emperor Shizong of Tang ascended the throne, he was involved in the Yongwang Rebellion and exiled to Yelang, eventually reaching the home of Li Yangbing, the magistrate of Dangtu County. He passed away in the second year of the Yuanxuan reign, aged 62.
