It is a haunted grimoire/book. It is alive. When opened it has a multitude of spells and potion recipes but, it can also create blackish-purple tendrils from the inside of the book as well as blackish-purple arms and hands. It slowly takes over the mind of whoever uses it. When it feels the time is right, it will hold down whoever has been using it with its tendrils and possess them.
