Aitvaras is a small fairy in Lithuanian myth. It takes the form of a black rooster indoors, but primarily takes the form of a small black dragon with a burning tail. It’s said that Aitvaras makes the house he inhabits by demanding an omelette, as it is his favorite food to eat. Other than that, and a bit of a trickster, Aitvaras is a simple, powerful little creature. He also talks like a chicken, squawking quite a lot. He’s also small enough to land on a human palm.
