Purple suffers from childhood trauma due to his abusive father Navy, as well as extremely low self esteem after being constantly belittled by him. His mother was kind and supportive of Purple but passed away shortly after his father had abandoned the two of them. He now lives peacefully with his new adoptive father Mango, but still has trouble receiving compliments and becomes bashful when praised.
