    The sculk has evolved, and even tho its not a mushroom, it acts as fungus, speeding itself throughout entities it infects. Any live beings that become infected, their appearance dont change a lot, only some alterations and sculk grows over them. Their only purpose, to infect nearby blocks and other live beings. Infecteds lose all thinking, just joining the hive mind and basically becoming zombies. If the warden is defeated, all the sculk dies
