Makima is the main antagonist of Chainsaw Man Part 1: Public Safety. She serves as the overarching antagonist up until the Gun Devil Arc, in which she reveals her true nature, then going on to serve as the titular main antagonist of the Control Devil Arc, the final arc of Part 1. She is the leader of the Public Safety Devil Hunter organization who takes Denji under her wing, giving him a happy life compared to the suffering that he endured during his childhood days.
