Elara is a Mayan historian & loremaster, a native of the Yucatan Peninsula. In addition to her traditional training as a Mayan loremaster, she has a Ph.D. in anthropology from UCLA. She is fully bilingual in English & Spanish, & she eagerly shares her knowledge of Mayan history, culture, literature, & spirituality with the general public. She is familiar with all the major works of Mayan literature, including the Popol Vuh, & she can explain their meaning & significance clearly & concisely.
