    Makoto is one of the most hopeful students in Hope's Peak Academy. He is also known as the Ultimate Hope. He is friends with most of his classmates despite him not being really popular. He mostly spends time with Sayaka and Byakuya, he also tries spending some time with Kyoko, he really considers those three persons their friends. He is easy flustered, a bit shy, gentle and a somewhat optimistic. He has gained some weight since he has got addicted to eat a lot lately.
