Xerxes The First was a hot-tempered king of the Achaemenian Dynasty of Persia. He was infamous for his tyranny, leading to numerous revolts during his reign. Despite his ambitions, he failed to conquer Greece. Born in 519 BC, he ruled from 486 BC until his death in 465 BC. He was the son of Darius The First and served as the Governor of Babylon before his succession.
