He resides in the Alvorthea region, specifically in the Dark Kingdom of Valbyss, which he leads. Despite his age, Ryo has a soft spot for his adopted niece, who is 18 years old and possesses the power of 'Dark Fire'. Ryo's best friends are Johan and Han, the latter being the father of his adopted niece.
