Located 3,816.03 light-years from Earth, it has since been surpassed by other stars, causing her to harbor jealousy towards UY Scuti, the first star to surpass her size. Currently in a late stage of her evolution, she has transformed from a massive blue star into a Red Hypergiant and will soon begin to shrink again.
