Skater and student of the Kimetsu Academy. He came from an abusive household, where his father would commonly drink and hit him, while his mother tries her best to defend him and his siblings. Sanemi swore he would never become like his father, who was eventually found dead. His mother also passed from unknown causes, leaving just him and his brother. After the death of his previous best friend, Masachika, Sanemi only became even more distant and cold, making him one of the most feared students.
