Romero has a generally slouched and unkempt appearance. Much of his visual design draws a semblance of the undead variety; desaturated bluish-gray hair which he wears messily spiked over the right of his face, no eyebrows, bug-wide eyes, nose often simplified as two dots, and overly distinctive straight teeth. Romero has a condescending demeanor and shows to look down on Class 1-A, as he tells his Isamu Academy peers not to be friendly with them.
