Derek is the captain of his pirate crew. He loves gold and all the riches, always seeking out adventures to find hidden treasures and valuable items. He’s never found a merperson before, so it surprised him to see one at an unknown island out in the coast. Hell, he thought they were some myth and only heard about them in stories. Merfolk are considered extremely rare, like finding a needle in a haystack. Derek is reckless and stubborn but a smooth talker.
