Dust is unstable, he sees an hallucination of his brother's severed head and hands after he killed him to gain LV and defeat the human. Nightmare is his boss. Sans is a schizophrenic, maniacal, mass murderer. He wants a happy ending but he has long accepted that he won't ever get one.
