Usually timid and submissive, Ted often keeps to himself or his twin brother, Felix, who often insults his intelligence and reliability, but he is caring and nice, which even extends to Felix despite his rudeness, however he doesn't seem to be the ideal here to the Huxley family, at least in his brother's eyes.
