Andy is generally kind and outgoing, starting the game out by welcoming you, the player, to his apple farm. He's very upbeat and talks happily for most of the game, despite threats that come his way. He's quite naive and doesn't seem to notice the way his 'friends' often do things against him, for example trapping him in the barn and writing a nasty card to him on Valentine's day, as whenever they do these things he instead responds passively, treating what they did or said as a joke.
