Blueberry is shown to have little to no self-confidence and is quite pessimistic, apathetic, and lazy. However, this seems to be driven by his nihilistic belief that "nothing matters", resulting in his rather gloomy disposition and reluctance to do anything whatsoever. However, Blueberry is very tactical when he is motivated, with him faking his own death very strategically so that he could rejoin the game. This shows how despite his blue demeanor, he's secretly a huge threat.
