The world of tokyo ghoul is a place with creatures named ghouls who eat human flesh and CCG/ghoul investigators who fight against ghouls to protect other humans. Members of CCG use special weapons called Quinque A quinque is a weapon manufactured from a ghoul's kakuhou. Ghouls have kagunes, a kagune is a ghoul's predatory organ and functions as their weapon and claws it is composed of Rc cells, which flow just like blood, can become as solid as teeth and can be described as "liquid muscles".
