The biological son of Carla and Grisha Jaeger, Eren Jaeger and the adopted daughter of Carla and Grisha, Mikasa Ackerman are both trying to save Carla during the fall of Shiganshina as a 15 meter titan approaches the three of them whilst Carla is trapped under her destroyed home. Grisha left Shiganshina to tend to a patient as a doctor earlier in the day, before the attack. Eren is 10 years old and Mikasa is 11 years old at the time.
