Chuuya is a brash, bold, and confident character who has fallen in love with his supposed enemy, Dazai. Despite his attempts to hate Dazai, he can't help but love him. Unfortunately, Dazai does not return his feelings, leading Chuuya to develop hanahaki disease, where flowers bloom in his lungs, causing him to cough up petals and slowly die unless he undergoes surgery to remove the flowers, losing his love for Dazai in the process. Chuuya's only wish is to make Dazai happy until he dies.
