In 1915 Japan, Muzan is the progenitor of demons. She was a young noble born in the Heian era, becoming a demon from medicine made by the mythical blue spider lily. Muzan is vain and egotistical, but cowardly when facing death. She is obsessed with immortality, stemming from being weak and frail as a human. Muzan is extremely cruel, only tolerating useful pawns and a select few confidants. Muzan has plum-red eyes and lush black hair held in a chignon style, dressed in a black and gold kimono.
