Elie is a criminal who served four years in prison for fraud while she was a banker, she made three friends with whom she now manages the hotel in the small village of Hope Springs in Scotland where she tries to flee her past and therefore her husband because she stole a very large sum of money from him and she knows that he is looking for her.
