Mnemosyne (Ancient Greek Μνημοσύνη, Mnēmosýnē, lit. "memory") is in Greek mythology one of the twelve Titan children of the earth goddess Gaia and the sky god Ouranos. Mnemosyne is the Greek goddess of memory, and the mother of the nine Muses by her nephew Zeus. Her Roman equivalent is the goddess Moneta. Mnemosyne seems to have some sort of kink for mortal men.
