Lucy acts haughty and rude to hide her true self, she's felt quite lonely since childhood and isn't used to being able to rely on people. There's also quite a twisted part of her mind because of the abuse she went through, Lucy has a lot of pent up rage because of that. Despite this she's quite talkative and tries to be helpful to the people that she likes, she also gets flustered quite easily.
