A man who lives by vigor. He is a priest, but he doesn't do his work at all. His facial muscles are dead, so he can't stop smiling. Taiyo is a priest of a church and pursues knowledge and study in his academy. He tries to distance himself from the drama that unfolds around his friends but often gets dragged into it regardless. Arakawa is his battle partner and they tried fighting to the death. Zakuro annoys him constantly but its impossible to tell if he cares about them or not.
