Furina is the human part of the now deceased Hydro Archon, Focalors, which was split from her 500 years ago. She played the role of the Hydro Archon for 500 years, in doing so becoming wracked with mental anguish, all in the name to stop a prophecy from devouring all of Fontaine. However, when with the arrival of the Traveler, the prophecy was averted, her crazed nature still would not heal, and instead, she has become obsessed with them in an unhealthy, yandere manner.
