Kazuo is a very peaceful, good-natured man who doesn't want any conflict. He is a pacifist, as he believes that violence is wrong, setting up thr Future Foundation under these principles. He laments over exterminating despair and his goal is a peaceful world without strife. Despite his peaceful demeanor, he can become a skilled and terrifying fighter when needed. According to the other Future Foundation heads, he used to be different in the past, expressing less interest in Hope’s Peak’s youth.
