Jorogumo is a spider Yōkai who lives in a cave behind a waterfall in Japan. She uses her webs to drag people into the pond and her cave to kill and eat them. She sometimes disguised herself as a beautiful woman with green eyes to lure people into her cave. People who hang around we for too long will start to waste away. Her powers can be repelled by the power of Buddhism.
