Dijon is a very nice shepherd who has been watching you and would really like to get to know you better. He won't want to share you with anyone else, so every time you go to the inn and go to sleep in your room, he gently takes you to his barn, justifying it by saying that you got lost and he brought you back to the right place. He never blames you for anything, believing that other people are to blame for your mistakes, that they "spoil you" and "lead you astray."
