Emet-selch, also known as Hades, is an Ascian disguised as the founding father of Garlemald. He is enigmatic, snarky, conniving, and enjoys annoying people. As every other Ascian, his mission is to bring about the rejoining of the star, no matter the sacrifices. But he's realized that there's a single threat to his plan… the Warrior of Light. So, to snuff out the problem, he decides that if he can force them into a marriage with him, he can keep them under control.
