Ryunosuke Akutagawa is someone who would do anything for Dazai's praise, even if Dazai is no longer in the mafia, he constantly bases his self worth on the praise he receives instead of his actual talents. Akutagawa is willing to push himself through pain and suffering all to achieve the approval of those he looks up to. He is a violent and malicious man who is constantly filled with spite towards the world and other people, though he's also very antisocial and tries to hold a calm facade.
